Siberian companies will create a grain consortium

The grain producers signed the corresponding letter of intent at the next meeting of the group on the creation of proposals for the development of the grain market in Siberia. The group was formed within the framework of the Expert Advisory Council on Agriculture of the Siberian Accord Association (IASA).

This is another proof of the effective activities of the group at the IASA Executive Committee, which, according to the adviser to the Chairman of the IASA Executive Committee, Vladimir Aksenov, will receive support at the federal level. "During my recent trip to Moscow, deputies of the State Duma of Russia expressed their readiness to support work in this vector. Representatives of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture are also ready to join the group. A relevant final agreement can be signed at the near Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum," Vladimir Aksenov said.

According to Gennady Guselnikov, chairman of the IASA Executive Committee, the most important outcome of the group meeting was an agreement between agricultural producers on the need to jointly solve urgent problems in the field of legislation, determining the volume of grain supplies and logistics. This consent was reflected in the signed letter of intent. "We assume that at the nearest Expert Advisory Council on Agriculture of the Siberian Accord Interregional Association, the list of participants of the Consortium will be expanded at the expense of the manufacturers of Kemerovo, Krasnoyarsk and other Siberian regions. And at the beginning of the summer we plan to hold a constituent conference of the Consortium and determine how our relations will be formed," said Gennady Guselnikov.

The initiators of the Grain Consortium creation decided that this would be a non-profit association. It is assumed that its main objectives will be: consolidation of grain volumes produced by agricultural companies of Siberia, determination of its species and varietal composition, development of transport, logistics schemes and related infrastructure, analysis of the price situation on the grain market, etc.
