Season 2018-2019: grain harvest forecast in Kazakhstan is lower

The decrease in the volume of wheat production in Kazakhstan is projected due to the reduction of the acreage in the season 2018-19.

April 20, the Global Agricultural Information Network (GAIN) published a report, which shows that the volume of wheat production will reach 14 million tons, which is about 800 thousand tons less than in the 2017-2018 season. Although recently foreign markets of Kazakhstan have grown, wheat exports in the 2018-19 season are forecast at 8 million tons.

The barley harvest in Kazakhstan is projected at 3.3 million tons.
