Agriculture Ministry to develop support measures for grain processors

Until the end of this year, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia plans to develop new measures to support high-tech enterprises processing grain. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut during an event dedicated to the start of construction of the Rustark production complex in the Lipetsk region.

The plant for the deep processing of wheat raw materials will produce starch products and biopolymers for the production of bioplastics. Acting head of the regional administration Igor Artamonov also took part in the solemn ceremony.

According to Oksana Lut, at present Russia produces about 1 million tons of products of deep processing of grain per year, while the Ministry of Agriculture plans that in the medium term this figure will increase to 2.5 million tons. As the Deputy Minister noted, the global market for these products is estimated at $ 16 billion. Taking into account the fact that at present Russia occupies an insignificant share of this volume, the implementation of investment projects in this direction has particular prospects.
