October 4, the representation of the Fund for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises (FASIE) in Omsk region together with the Omsky Biocluster's StartUpAcademia will hold a meeting of the UMNIK-2018 Regional School.
The participants of the event will be young innovators, and the Regional School goal is to talk about the existing opportunities for the commercialization of new ideas and innovative projects, including the grant funds of FASIE. The mentoring support of the event is provided by the Board of Trustees of the Omsky Biocluster's StartUpAcademia, as well as innovators who have already received financial support for the implementation of their projects.
Representative of FASIE in Omsk region, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Omsky Biocluster Vitaly Aleshchenko:
"Grant selection of Omsk projects takes more than ten years, and the total amount of grants received exceeded one hundred million rubles ($ 1.53M). The Regional School provides information on the requirements and procedures for participation in grants, but - most importantly - participants are aware of the real commercial needs of certain market products, determine the format for the promotion of their scientific ideas for commercialization purposes. It, undoubtedly, will help innovators to prepare demanded commercial products in the future."
