Analyzes of samples at the Laboratory of Quarantine Phytosanitary Examinations and Surveys of the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor (member of Omsky Biocluster) allowed specialists to identify the quarantine pest - western (California) flower thrips.
The quarantine pest was discovered by experts in conducting research in batches of Gloxinia potted flowers and cut bouquets of gerberas of Russian origin, as well as in cut gerberas from Armenia.
Information about the results of the examination of these samples were sent to the Omsk Branch of the Rosselkhoznadzor.
