The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation predicts a record harvest of oilseeds. This year, the area under oilseeds has been increased by 1.3M ha, for the first time in Russian history, amounting to 13.9M ha. The areas under rapeseed (1.5 times, up to 1.6M ha) and mustard (2.2 times, up to 0.3M ha) increased the most of all.
As of October 30, 3.5M tons of soybean were harvested (in 2017 - 2.8M) with a yield of 15.6 c / ha, 10.8M tons of sunflower (in 2017 - 8M tons ), with a yield of 15.9 c / ha, 2.1M tons of rapeseed (in 2017 - 1.5M tons), with a yield of 14.3 c / ha.
