Alexander Burkov formed a commission on Omsky Biocluster

Acting Governor of Omsk region, Chairman of the Government of Omsk region, Alexander Burkov, appointed members of the commission on development and state support of the Agrobiotechnological Industrial Cluster of Omsk region.

 

The commission includes heads of executive bodies of Omsk region and Omsky Biocluster Association.

 

At present, Omsky Biocluster Association together with the executive authorities of Omsk region are completing the draft Roadmap for the development of the Agrobiotechnological Industrial Cluster of Omsk region. The Roadmap draft defines a list of prospective cluster investment projects in the sphere of industrial production and infrastructure, improvement of existing and implementation of new forms of support for industrial clusters.

 

Investment portfolio of cluster's organizations includes projects on deep processing of grain and oilseeds, eggs, construction of new and modernization of existing capacities for grain storage and flour grinding, confectionery, bakery and meat semi-finished and finished products as well as livestock facilities. Along with projects in the industrial sphere, Omsky Biocluster plans to implement infrastructure projects - the construction of a terminal complex with a distribution center and a consolidation warehouse, the electronic trading platform E-TRAP, the network of trading houses of Omsk region in foreign countries, modernization of laboratory facilities to assess the quality and safety of raw materials and finished products, construction and reconstruction of engineering infrastructure facilities.

 

Omsky Biocluster includes subdivisions:

StartUpAcademia: Assistance in structuring start-ups, investment projects and communications with potential investors, 

Logistics and Foreign Economic Operations Center: Universal operator to ensure foreign economic activity of enterprises in Omsk region and nearby regions, 

Collective Use Center: Single database of laboratory equipment, 

Genetics and Breeding of Cattle Practice: Audit of feeding and care of the herd. Selection of genetics and implementation of cattle breeding.

 

In order to increase the efficiency of business in the agro-industrial complex, the Interregional Center for Agro Industry Engineering has been established and is operating. The center is created by the profile business institutes of Omsk, Novosibirsk and Tomsk regions and coordinates the activities of the interested parties by combining intellectual, material, technical, information and other resources.
