Elite boars arrived at the Pig-Breeding Complex Titan-Agro LLC

As part of the planned updating of genetic material in June, 13 breeding boars of Duroc, Landrace and Yorkshire arrived at the Petrovsky Pig-Breeding Complex Titan-Agro LLC (Omsky Biocluster member). These breeds have high genetic potential and are adapted to the Russian conditions of industrial pig breeding.

Boars arrived in the Omsk region from Voronezh, where the Agroeco breeding and genetic center is located (producer of advanced genetics for pig breeding, conducting joint breeding work with Canadian companies Genesus). Boars were delivered to the Omsk region on a special transport, which is designed to transport animals. The weight of each boar is about 155 kg. Now the animals are on a 30-day quarantine, and they have been assigned to personnel who prepare boars for introduction into the main herd (they perform the manipulations that are necessary for carrying out laboratory tests, vaccinations, and others). After quitting the quarantine mode, the animals will be transferred to the station of artificial insemination. To date, Petrovsky Pig-Breeding Complex Titan-Agro LLC contains about 60,000 heads of pigs.
