Sale of 500 thousand tons of grain from the Intervention Fund, planned for sale for export, will begin in June 2018. This was reported by Anatoly Kutsenko, Director of the Department of Economics, Investments and Regulation of Agromarkets of the Ministry of Agriculture at the 'Where is the Margin-2018' Agrarian Conference.
"We have already planned to sell 500 thousand tons of this year from the Intervention Fund for export. Yes, we will not export this now, but in June we will start actively selling Siberian grain," he said. At the end of December 2017, the Government of the Russian Federation permitted the export of 500,000 tons of wheat and barley from the State Intervention Fund. The grain purchased in 2008-2016 during the state grain interventions will be subject to sale.
