March 28, the International Scientific and Practical Conference 'Contemporary Problems and Scientific Support of Innovative Development of Poultry Farming' was held on the basis of the Scientific Agricultural Library of Omsk State Agrarian University (member of Omsky Biocluster) with the participation of veterinary specialists from Omsk region, Tyumen, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Tomsk, Kemerovo, Yekaterinburg , Novokuznetsk, Chelyabinsk, as well as Astana (Kazakhstan) and Kiev (Ukraine).
A report on the state of the poultry industry in Omsk region was made by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Omsk region, Alexander Kurzanov. The main issues on the agenda: 'Predisposing factors and bacterial infection in necrosis of the femoral head', 'Effective treatment of ornithobacteriosis and mycoplasmosis in poultry', 'Schemes of substitution therapy for pathological conditions of gastrointestinal tract of a poultry', 'The significance of biosecurity in the modern preparation of buildings at a poultry farm'.
