Quality of products in Omsk: March results

In March, the Laboratory of Quality and Safety of Products of Animal and Vegetable Origin, Feeds and Environmental Objects of the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor (member of Omsky Biocluster) received 220 samples, for 164 of which the study was completed. A total of 1514 tests were carried out, 29 samples were found with violations of the requirements of regulatory documentation.

 

14 samples of dairy products (six samples of butter, three samples of cheese, four samples of cottage cheese and a sample of yogurt) did not meet the requirements for the content of milk fat, fatty acid composition and the presence of sterols. Two samples of wheat cereals have not been tested for the content of the flour and benign core. The buckwheat sample did not meet the requirements for moisture content, core and weed impurity. Deviations from the standards for organoleptic indices and the content of weed impurities were found in seven barley samples. Three samples of the edible salt had an increased content of sulphate and calcium ions and a lower content of sodium chloride. Deviations in organoleptic indices, excess of moisture content and oil impurity content were detected in samples of sunflower and rape.
