The government has allocated 500 million rubles ($ 8.73 million) from its reserve fund to provide subsidies for the transportation of agricultural products and foodstuffs, including railways, in the current year.
This decision will increase the trade turnover between the central and southern regions, Siberia and the Far East. In the past year, the amount of support amounted to 49.3 million rubles ($ 0.86 million).. That allowed transportation of products worth more than 700 million rubles ($ 12.22 million). Allocating 500 million rubles ($ 8.73 million) will support the supply of goods worth at least 8 billion rubles ($ 139.65 million).
