The Russian Government is coordinating the topic of supplying Russian beef to China, Deputy Industry and Trade Minister Alexei Gruzdev told RIA Novosti on Monday. "If we talk about the agricultural sector, now the Chinese side shows a very large demand for poultry meat, including chicken feet, which are not always in demand in the Russian diet. After all, it has its own philosophy, its own culture, and a great demand," Gruzdev said, answering the question of what Russian products have been in particular demand in China lately.
In December 2018, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev said in an interview with RIA Novosti that the trade war between China and the United States could accelerate the entry of Russian pork and beef into the Chinese market. At the end of January this year, 23 Russian poultry meat producing companies received the right to supply poultry products to China.
