France will resume the export of beef to China after the signing of an agreement between the two countries. The decision to resume imports of French beef in China was made after a sanitary inspection in France in late April or early May. The audit was successful, and the authorities of the two countries signed a joint statement in Beijing.
It is expected that meat from France will be imported into China already in July this year. Beef should be made from cattle not older than 30 months. Previously, the supply to the Chinese market began Ireland, the Netherlands and Denmark. Now China is considered the second largest importer of beef in the global market. Last year, the country imported about 700 thousand tons of beef, the value of which exceeded $ 3b. The growth rate of beef supplies to China is also impressive: the growth of beef imports into this country is about 20% a year.
