Project offices for increasing agricultural exports will be established in the regions

June 28, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia discussed the development of regional programs dedicated to increasing the export of agricultural products.

The meeting participants discussed the key directions in which the regions of Russia can strengthen their positions and increase their export potential. Experts agreed that it is necessary to pay attention to the production of deep processing products, high-margin, which gives higher added value and is in demand abroad. In addition, the creation of an export-oriented infrastructure, optimal logistics, the construction of an effective system of branding and promotion of Russian agricultural products, will undoubtedly contribute to increasing supplies to foreign markets.

Following the meeting, each Russian region is recommended to form a regional project office, which will coordinate the current and prospective implementation of national and federal projects to increase the export potential of the agro-industry.
