The United States promises Russia oil records

The United States is forecasting record exports of sunflower, soybeans and rapeseed from Russia in the 2019/20 season. This is stated in the report of the agricultural service of foreign countries of the US Department of Agriculture.

Export of oilseeds in the 2019/20 MY will reach a historic maximum of 1.72 million metric tons, which is 7.3% higher than the same indicator in the 2018/19 MY and is due to the export of rapeseed and soybeans to China, USDA reported.

USDA experts explain the record-breaking figures by the growth in demand in the EU countries and the opening of the Chinese agricultural market for Russia. The main factors determining this growth will be the export of rapeseed and soybeans to China, as well as the active supply of rapeseed to Belarus, the document says. At the same time, USDA excluded data on the production and cultivation of oilseeds in Crimea.
