Kazakhstan: more than half the grain for export

Kazakhstan intends to harvest more than 20M tons of grain, of which about half will be exported. This year, the area of grain crops in Kazakhstan is about 15M HA.

The main grain-sowing regions began harvesting unconventionally late, but the favorable weather of the last two weeks allowed us to catch up on the lost time. Now, farmers of Karaganda region have harvested from 64% of the area, Akmola - 82%, Kostanay - 92%.

Kuandyk Shakubaev, Deputy Head of the Department of Agriculture of North Kazakhstan region:

"All farms of North Kazakhstan region attract all the available equipment. In addition, the government also allocates diesel for grain drying. Thus, about 14 thousand tons of fuel and lubricants will be provided for those farmers who have grain dryers, as well as licensed elevators."
