Specialized warehouses will be opened in Almaty, Astana, Karaganda, Aktobe and Shymkent. According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, such centers will eliminate a long chain of intermediaries, reduce losses when sorting and packing goods, and effectively distribute products.
"The wholesale and retail center is an infrastructure that allows us to exclude non-effective intermediaries for which the price of products increases. Over the next four years, construction of centers in Astana, Karaganda, Almaty, Shymkent and Aktobe is expected. First pilot construction project will be in Astana. The area for the first wholesale and retail center has already been determined, there is an investor," said Shaimerden Akhmetov, deputy director of the Market Development Department of the Ministry.
