March 1, the Scientific Agricultural Library became the venue for the visiting session of the Omsk Branch of the Russian Geographical Society 'OmSAU and the Omsk Branch of the Russian Geographical Society - a hundred years together', dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Omsk State Agrarian University (member of Omsky Biocluster).
Vice-Rector on scientific work of OmSAU, Doctor of Economic Sciences Vitaly Aleshchenko addressed with a greeting on behalf of the University, noting the long and fruitful way of cooperation between the oldest University in Omsk and the Russian Geographical Society. The chairman of the Omsk branch of the Russian Geographical Society, Igor Vyatkin, congratulated all participants. Several outstanding scientists of OmSAU for special theoretical and practical contributions to the development of the Society were awarded honorary diplomas.
The reports were made by the university scientists who presented the experience of long-term cooperation with the Society, the history of various studies and the promising works of young scientists who replace the famous scientists. The participants also had an opportunity to get acquainted with the book exhibition 'OmSAU and Omsk Branch of the Russian Geographical Society - a hundred years together' in the foyer of the scientific agricultural library, where the scientific works of the University scientists were presented, which made a significant contribution to the development of science.
