The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia discussed support for agrarian Cossack farms

March 2, the director of the Department of Rural Development Vladimir Svezhenets held a meeting of the Commission of the Council of the President of Russia on Cossacks to support the economic development of the Russian Cossacks. The meeting was attended by the Rector of the Moscow State University of Technology and Management (First Cossack University), a member of the Council of the President of the Russian Federation for Cossacks Valentina Ivanova.

 
 
 
 

 

Vladimir Svezhenets told the participants about the implementation of state support measures for Cossack societies and Cossack associations in the field of agricultural production. 'Cossack troops should act as a consolidating and unifying source in the formation of the agrarian potential of our country.' Cossack agricultural enterprises have the right to receive all types of state support," he said.

 

Rector of the First Cossack University (member of Omsky Biocluster) Valentina Ivanova voiced proposals for joint work of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture and Cossack societies. According to her, the joint work of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia and Cossack societies and associations serves as a tremendous impetus for the development of the agrarian Cossacks.

 

Omsk region belongs to the regions with the largest number of agricultural enterprises registered by the Cossacks. The branch of the First Cossack University in the region - the Siberian Cossack Institute of Technology and Management - together with Omsky Biocluster examines the prospects for joint activities in the field of helping to develop investment projects for Cossack farms in the agrarian sector.
