Russia: Over 10,000 drone harvesters to be commissioned in three years

About 10,000 drone harvesters will appear in 35 regions of Russia in the next three years. This is provided for by an agreement between the Russian-German agricultural holding Econiva and Cognitive Pilot (a subsidiary of Sberbank and the Cognitive Technologies group), the Cognitive Technologies said in a statement.

 

The three-year collaboration agreement was signed by Bjoerne Drechsler, First Deputy General Director of EconivaTechnika-Holding Management Company, and Olga Uskova, General Director of Cognitive Pilot. According to its terms, Econiva will install and set up the Cognitive Agro Pilot autonomous control system for agricultural machinery, as well as its maintenance and engineering support. Work will be conducted in 35 regions of the Russian Federation.

 

"Now, representatives of Cognitive Pilot have already begun training Econiva engineers in the installation and commissioning of the system. In the coming months, appropriate training will be provided for all technical service specialists of the company in Russia, from the Leningrad Region to Novosibirsk, who will be equipped with a three-year contract a system of up to 10,000 combines produced by various manufacturers of agricultural machinery," the report said.
