Product quality and safety: June results

The Laboratory of Quality and Safety of Products of Animal and Plant Origin, Feed and Environmental Objects of the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor (Omsky Biocluster member) in June received 702 samples, with which 2831 studies were conducted. As a result, experts identified 15 samples of non-compliant regulatory documentation.

 

Six samples of poor-quality dairy products were found. Of these, three samples of cottage cheese have not been tested for fatty acid composition, three samples of cheese - for fatty acid composition and mass fraction of fat. The sample of ice cream did not match the quality of the fatty acid composition, the sample of sour cream did not match the fatty acid composition, the presence of sterols, the mass fraction of fat. A sample of chicken meat contained a high content of phosphorus, the compounds of which act as water-holding agents. Four wheat samples had an increased moisture content. A sample of sunflower refined deodorized oil experts did not meet the standards for fatty acid composition. A lower protein content compared with the stated in the documentation was contained in the sample of dumplings with potatoes.
