Restrictions on the sale of pork introduced in China - no more than 1 kg to one buyer. Communist practice was applied in Nanning, the capital of the southern Chinese region of Guangxi.
Nanning has returned to restricting product sales and controlling prices to streamline its pork market, as animal numbers have declined due to ASF and prices are rising to record levels, Bloomberg writes. The most expensive pork ribs should not be sold in excess of 32.2 yuan ($ 4.5) per half kilogram, and each customer is allowed to buy only 1 kg of pork, the local administration newspaper Nanning Evening News reported. The measures are aimed at controlling rising prices until pork production in China recovers.
