Weather may lead to lower grain yield in Northern Kazakhstan

Rainfall for September is expected to be higher than the norm in the north of the Kostanay region, near the norm in the North Kazakhstan region, less than the norm in the Akmola region. Partly meteorologists predict snow in the first half of the third decade, which may affect the course of harvesting and lead to grain loss.

In this regard, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan instructed the regional administrations to take all organizational measures to conduct harvesting operations as soon as possible. As previously KazakhZerno.kz reported, according to operational data, the harvesting area of grain crops in the country as a whole is 15.2 million ha, of which 4.8 million ha were harvested, which is 31.7% (last year - 16.2%) 5.5 million tons were harvested with an average yield of 11.5 kg / ha.
