The Ministry of Industry and Trade sent a letter to the Government of the Russian Federation with a list of goods for which mandatory labeling can be introduced, Vedomosti writes. Earlier, the first deputy prime minister Igor Shuvalov instructed the Ministry to create such a list.
As noted in the letter, the list was formed after the meeting of the state commission on combating illicit trafficking in industrial products. Among other things, the list included pasta, canned goods, baby food, rice, tea, coffee, meat and fish products, dairy products, beer, juices and mineral water. The final decision has not been made yet. The Federal Tax Service list as a whole supported.
