The formation and departure of a freight train consisting of 88 containers along the route Omsk-Vostochny - station Nakhodka-Vostochnaya is being completed in the Omsk region. The train will allow transporting about 1 892 tons of oil, the journey takes ten days. Further, the containers will be loaded onto a container ship that will deliver the goods in one shipload to the port of Chongqing in China.
The creation of regular container train traffic from the region is one of the priority projects for the development of export supplies, supervised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Omsk region and Russian Railways JSC. In addition, traffic will bring tax revenues to the regional budget. Such logistics will allow manufacturers to optimize costs.
According to omskportal.ru, the export of oil and fat products in the region occupies one of the key positions in the overall structure of agricultural exports. At the end of 2018, such products were shipped in the amount of 37,000 tons for a total amount of $ 28 million, which is 17% of the total export of agricultural raw materials and food products.
