According to Rosstat, the volume of industrial production of meat in January-August 2018 amounted to 1,690.6K tons (11.2% more than in the same period of 2017), semi-finished meat, meat-containing, chilled, frozen 2,133.1K tons (6.4% more), sausage products, including sausage products for baby food 1,494.9K tons (0.6% more) and canned meat (containing meat), including canned food for baby food - 397, 1M cans (4.0% less).
The beef production in agricultural organizations in January-August 2018 amounted to 626.1K tons (+ 7.3% compared to the same period in 2017), the average consumer prices for beef amounted to 325.91RUR / kg ($ 4.88, +2, 4% to the same period of 2017). The average price for half carcass beef is 209,25 RUR / ton ($ 3,13, -0.9% compared to the same period of 2017).
January-August 2018, pork production in agricultural organizations amounted to 2,647.6K tons (+ 10.5% compared to the same period in 2017), the average consumer prices for pork amounted to 273.38RUR / kg ($ 4.09, +5 , 2% over the same period in 2017). The chicken meat production in agricultural organizations in January-August 2018 amounted to 4,081.3K tons (+ 1.8% compared to the same period in 2017, the average consumer prices for chicken meat amounted to 138.54RUR / kg ($ 2.07, +7.2% over the same period in 2017).
