By 2030, the production of machinery and equipment for the food industry in Russia is planned to increase 3-fold in comparison with the current level, and the annual growth rates of export supplies of this product will amount to 10%. Such indicators are contained in the draft Strategy for the Development of Mechanical Engineering for the Food and Processing Industry of the Russian Federation for the period until 2030, developed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the press service of the Ministry reports.
"The share of domestic producers in the domestic market was about 30% by the end of 2016. The task to be solved by domestic producers of food equipment is an increase to 20% by the year 2030 of the presence of modern Russian machinery and equipment for the food industry in the market to 62%. At the same time, it is planned to focus on large-scale export support in order to increase the volume of domestic food equipment exports abroad by 3.7 times to the level of 2016. Priority markets for domestic food machine building, except for the markets of the CIS countries, will be the countries of Africa and the Middle East, South America and Asia," the report said.
As the press service specified, the draft of this Strategy is planned to be submitted to the Government of the Russian Federation for consideration this month.
