Omsk Sladonezh plans to increase exports to China

Representatives of the confectionery factory Sladonezh (member of Omsky Biocluster) met with their existing Chinese partners in Shanghai.

In May of this year, the Russian company Sladonezh at the international exhibition of food products SIAL China 2018 in Shanghai signed an agreement with a Chinese company on cooperation, after which it began to supply its products to China. According to Tatyana Khafizova, Sladonezh export director, the purpose of a business trip to Shanghai is to make plans for 2019 and get acquainted with Chinese confectionery production equipment. Thus, an agreement was reached on the monthly deliveries to China of ten containers of confectionery.

Also during the visit, Russian representatives studied the culture of sweets consumption. The Chinese consumer’s main requirement is individual packaging for products of 200-500 grams. Therefore, an agreement was reached that the Sladonezh confectionary factory will supply its products to China, where it will already be packaged. Tatyana Khafizova added that in 2019 Sladonezh intends to export 1000 tons of products per year to China, due to wafer products and the adaptation of packaging, praline sweets and sugar cookies.
