Grain prices have been increasing in Russia since the beginning of the year, which may lead to a rise in prices for its processed products, according to Sergey Rybakov, executive director of the Russky Khleb Trading House.
"From week to week, grain prices show a steady growth of 3-4%. This implies our reaction: we have to transmit this growth to our customers - retail, and they already - to final consumers," said Sergey Rybakov. He correlated the rise in grain prices with his shortage within the country, which asked the processors to purchase goods. "Today we can not find a decent batch of grain to meet all our needs, while the cost of grain is constantly growing."
