Pigs in Russia have risen in price by almost 10%

Seasonal growth in prices for live pigs for slaughter, as well as for pork half-carcasses of domestic production in Russia continues. Over the past week, their value has increased by 9.9% and 7%, respectively, according to the Information-Analytical Agency EMEAT.

 

Live pigs rose most in the Central Federal District (by more than 14%) and the Southern Federal District (by 10.6%). The cost of pork in half-carcasses increased most significantly in the Central Federal District (by 13.8%) and the North-West Federal District (by 11.8%).

 

The cost of domestic pork cuts for the week increased by 0.5%, offal - by 0.3%, and fat - by 0.2%. During the month, the prices for cutting (+ 0.8%) and offal (+ 0.6%) showed positive dynamics. Fat for the month became cheaper by 2.2%.

 

The cost of pork imported to Russia from Brazil on the terms of CIF St. Petersburg, grew by 0.2% over the week. Over the month, they decreased by 3.5%.
