According to the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Dzhambulat Khatuov, the subsidy for the purchase of agricultural machinery and equipment by farmers in 2019 will be 16 billion RUR ($ 244.62 million), Agrovestnik reports.
"Support in the format of discounts to the price of special equipment sold to farmers has existed for the last five years. Last year we used a subsidy of 10 billion RUR ($ 152.89 million), which allowed us to purchase 17,000 units [products] at a discount. This year we are using a subsidy 16 billion RUR ($ 244.62 million)," Dzhambulat Khatuov said at a meeting on the development of the agricultural sector in Khabarovsk.
Dzhambulat Khatuov explained that the maximum discount last year was 10% of the price of agricultural machinery and equipment, in 2019 the amount of the discount is 20%. "This year’s discount will not change," the Deputy Minister noted.
