Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) received an official letter from the Hong Kong authorities, which are allowed to supply pork, beef, as well as pork and beef by-products from Russia to Hong Kong. This was reported on May 6 by the press service of Rosselkhoznadzor.
As specified, obtaining these permits was the result of a negotiation process between the countries, which lasted more than four years. "Currently, three companies for the production of beef and beef by-products and 23 companies for the production of pork and pork by-products have received the right to supply these products. A complete list of these companies is available on the Rosselkhoznadzor website. Hong Kong has become the first market from the Southeast Asia countries to which pork will be supplied from Russia," the press service noted.
