Tatarstan authorities will send 200m RUR for the purchase of milking robots

The Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan, Marat Akhmetov, reported on the support of initiatives of Tatarstan agrarians to purchase milking robots for dairy farms. "We are ready to send about 200m RUR to reduce the cost of milk robots and milking parlors, we plan to subsidize up to 40% of the cost at the expense of the budget," he said.

The cost of each of the robots is 15m RUR. Such equipment will allow milking without dairymaids. "Cows in a few days are accustomed to the fact that when they are ready for milking, they must go to the robot themselves. The robot carries out the process of milking, regulating it with a laser. One machine can dig up 60-80 cows per day," Akhmetov said, adding that Tatarstan plans to open six dairy complexes in different regions this year with a livestock of 600 to 1100 cows.

In 2017, the Republic of Tatarstan in terms of milk production ranked first in Russia (1.8m tons).
