The quarantine pest was identified by specialists from the Quarantine Phytosanitary Examinations and Inspections Laboratory of the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor (member of Omsky Biocluster) in potted plants of Indian chrysanthemums brought to Omsk region from the Netherlands.
Analyzes carried out by experts allowed identifying Western (Californian) flower thrips. Information about the results of the examination of this sample by the experts of the Omsk Reference Center was sent to the Omsk regional Brach of the Rosselkhoznadzor.
