In late September, a delegation of the Omsk State Agrarian University (member of Omsky Biocluster) took part in the Agrarian Forum in Tyukalinsk, Omsk region. The Forum was attended by teachers, teachers and kids engaged in research activities in the field of natural sciences.
Natalia Perevalova, deputy head of the Tyukalinsky municipal district, and Lyubov Karpuk, Ph.D., Director of the Center for Vocational Guidance and Pre-University Training of Omsk State Agrarian University addressed the participants with welcoming words.
The work of the Forum was organized at several research sites, where it was possible to get acquainted with various activities in agriculture, and the Omsk State Agrarian University acted as the organizers of the thematic sites. The moderator of the agrotechnological station was Tatyana Marakaeva, associate professor of the Department of Agronomy, Breeding and Seed Production of the Agrotechnological faculty. At this station, young researchers conducted a structural analysis of spring soft wheat, calculated the biological yield of the crop, filled out field diaries.
The student station has become a place for students to learn about educational activities in the Omsk State Agrarian University, as well as the benefits that are open to students of the Agrarian University. Participants also solved puzzles, charades, riddles about various professions of the agro-industry.
The work of representatives of OmSAU was marked by a letter of thanks. The presented format of the agroclass is a peculiar model of vocational guidance for students. For several years, teachers and students of the Omsk State Agrarian University help kids to make an informed choice of profession, give certain preferences when entering a university.
