Two serious foreign investors will come to Bashkortostan

Two large foreign companies - Gruppo Cremonini and Savencia - intend to invest in projects in Bashkiria, the region with the largest cattle stock in the country as of October 1.

 

The Italian meat processing company Gruppo Cremonini will register its structure in Bashkiria by the end of October to launch the project for the construction of the feedlot network. Deputy Minister of Agriculture Yury Lysov told Interfax that the Russian subdivision of the Italian holding AgroSakmara LLC has already started designing the first such site.

 

The project capacity at the first stage will be 3 thousand heads of cattle per year, in 2021 it will be doubled. At the same time, the construction of the second site for 3 thousand heads of cattle in Bijbulyaksky district of the Republic of Bashkortostan is being discussed. "We plan to pick up another five sites for the investor to reach the total production volume to 21 thousand cattle per year," Lysov said.

 

French Savencia Fromage & Dairy (formerly known as Bongrain) announced its intention to acquire a majority stake in Belebeevsky Dairy Plant, part of the Ural group Neral. The deal is expected to be concluded after approval by the antimonopoly authorities, its value is not specified. As explained by the press service of the plant, Savencia Fromage & Dairy considers the prospects for the development of soft cheese production in Russia due to equipping the plant with new modern equipment.
