The grain export quota in the amount of 17.5 million tons has been distributed among 234 exporters; it will be valid from February 15 to June 30, 2021. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.
From March 1 to June 30, export duties on wheat from Russia will amount to € 50 per tonne (from February 15 to March 1 - € 25 per tonne). From March 15 to June 30, duties are also set for corn - € 25 per ton, for barley - € 10 per ton. In this case, we are talking about supplies within the quota equal to 17.5 million tons. Export of grain above the quota will be subject to a duty of 50% of the customs value of the product, but not less than € 100 per ton. From June 2, a floating duty mechanism will work, in which the duty on the export of wheat from the Russian Federation will be levied when the price on the exchange reaches $ 200 per ton, in which case the duty will be 70% of the difference between $ 200 and the contract price.
