Nectarines with insects found in Omsk again

Experts of the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor (Omsky Biocluster member) found a quarantine pest, the California insect, in a batch of nectarines that arrived in Omsk from Uzbekistan.

This insect damages about 150 species of various plants; apple, pear, plum, cherry and apricot are most often damaged from fruit trees. Yields are significantly reduced, the formation of red spots is observed on the fruits.

Information about the results of the examinations was sent to the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Omsk Branch).
