Agricultural trade between Russia and China grew by 9.5%

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, agricultural trade between the Russian Federation and China continues to grow steadily. So, in January - October of this year, agricultural trade turnover increased by 9.5% compared to the same period in 2018, amounting to $ 3.93 billion.

 

At the same time, Russian exports to China increased in value terms by 25% (to $ 2.6 billion), and the range of exports is expanding. In June this year, an agreement was signed on the export of soybeans.

 

Meanwhile, the sixth meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Chinese Commission on Investment Collaboration was held in Beijing. The meeting participants discussed the expansion of collaboration to build joint value chains in the field of agriculture, talked about the prospects for improving the business climate. Also, the agenda item was the supply of livestock products and the possibility of signing a joint document on the issue of interaction between agricultural universities in Russia and China.
