Following Belarus, Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) found a significant increase in the import of dairy products from the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Rosselkhoznadzor carried out an analysis of the change in the cargo flow of controlled goods for the first three months of 2018. As a result, it was found that 4041 tons of dairy products were delivered from the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation. This in total exceeds the volume of supplies for the previous five years (according to Russian customs statistics). "The Rosselkhoznadzor instructed the territorial departments to tighten control over this product in terms of determining its origin," the Federal Service said.
