O.Fedulova: We should learn to be more effective

April 10, 2018, the next meeting of the Union Omsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry (member of Omsky Biocluster) was held. Participants heard a report on the work of the Chamber for 2017, and also considered a number of procedural issues. Of course, one of the main events was the election of Olga Fedulova by the head of the Omsk CCI (before - first vice president of the Chamber).

 

The Omsky Biocluster press service took the first interview with Olga Fedulova in a new position. The new President as priority noted the continuation of the practice the representation and protection of entrepreneurs’ interests, providing a constructive dialogue between the business media and the authorities, also the establishment of interregional and international communication.

 

When asked about her vision of the drivers of the region's economy, the President of the Omsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Olga Fedulova, answered:

"To be sure, it’s an establishment of modern and improvement of ongoing production facilities, so called cluster economy. It may be no accident that we as a business community actually pay special attention to cooperation with Omsky Biocluster, Petrochemical Cluster, and to participation in the Wood Industry Cluster establishment. We should learn to be more effective, hence to increase essentially the degree of raw materials processing at regional enterprises. Omsky Biocluster projects such as advanced processing of grain and oil crops, eggs are at different stages. It’s an advanced processing should become the basis for our agricultural industry. These are taxes and jobs; this is an additional service infrastructure, including SMEs."

 

Director of Omsk Experimental Plant FSUE Dmitry Golovanov noted the importance of the merits of the former President of the Chamber Tatiana Khoroshavina:

"Unconditional credit for Ms. Khoroshavina is that she managed to create the Omsk CCI from scratch. The Chamber has earned respect in government and among business leaders. Ms. Khoroshavina formed a system of work and brought up a worthy replacement of the staff. I am sure that her experience and competence will certainly be in demand as Chairman of the Council of the Omsk CCI."
