The head of the Ministry of Agriculture of Transbaikal region noted that livestock production remains the leading branch of the regional agro-industry. The share of livestock products in agricultural production in the region is 75%. Transbaikal Territory steadily holds the leading positions among the subjects of the Siberian Federal District and the Russian Federation in terms of the number of livestock, sheep and goats, horses, wool production.
