The Department of International Relations of the Omsk State Agrarian University (member of Omsky Biocluster) took part in the project entitled 'Information and Open University, International Level'. The project is implemented by the Federal Publishing House 'Accreditation in Education' within the annual All-Russian competition project 'MEDIAactivity of Russian Universities' with the support of the State Duma Committee on Education and Research.
The international stage of this competitive project allows to integrate the educational institution into the world research and educational community, to promote the development of international academic cooperation and the internationalization of higher education through modern media tools, to identify the leading universities in the field of information openness and to disseminate their 'best practices'. The contest can help the winning universities build an effective image-making policy, become a high-tech university, included in the world map of research and education.
Employees of the international department of OmSAU successfully passed the first stage of the competition, which assessed professional qualifications, experience, career, working functionality, professional achievements and reputation, having obtained the certificates 'Ready for Cooperation: the International Level'. The whole team of the department successfully passed the next stage of the contest, which characterizes the quality of the international activity of the educational organization - OmSAU received a certificate of readiness to confirm the status of an open information institution at the international level and entered the final stage of the contest where the educational organization can receive the status of 'Information and Open University.
