In June of this year, Russia produced a record volume of vegetable oil for this month - 453.4 thousand tons, which is 1.7% less compared to the previous month (461.3 thousand tons), but 2.3% more than June last year.
In total, since the beginning of the 2017/18 season, vegetable oil production in Russia has grown by 3.3% and is also at the maximum level. Over the period from September to June, 5,098.7 thousand tons of vegetable oil were produced against 4935.5 a year earlier.
In the current season, there has been an increase in the processing volumes of all oilseeds. So, sunflower oil production increased by 2.3% compared to the same period of the last marketing year, soybean oil - by 12%, rapeseed oil - by 25%. From the beginning of 2017/18 season, sunflower oil production figures reached a maximum and amounted to 4107 thousand tons against 4013 thousand tons a year earlier.
