Rosselkhoznadzor and the Customs Department of the People's Republic of China signed protocols on mutual deliveries of frozen poultry meat and dairy products. The signing of the documents took place in Beijing as part of the regular meeting of the heads of government of Russia and China. The next step is to agree on the list of enterprises approved for export of dairy and poultry products, after which deliveries will begin.
It is indicated that the trade in dairy products will include cow, goat and sheep milk, as well as products from them. Poultry products, including edible offal, may be allowed to be exported if the veterinary and sanitary requirements of Russia, the People's Republic of China and the EEU are fully complied with, and also the quarantine requirements for avian influenza are met. “We expect that the first deliveries will take place already this year,” said Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev.
It specifies the Rosselkhoznadzor, the process of ensuring the admission of dairy products to the Chinese market began in 2013, poultry - in 2014. Russia has not supplied poultry meat to the Chinese market due to outbreaks of bird flu since 2005.
