Omsk Reference Center summed up the results for 2017

Omsk Reference Center of Rosselkhoznadzor FSBI (member of Omsky Biocluster) summed up the activities for 2017.

 

Omsk Reference Center of Rosselkhoznadzor FSBI carries out its activities on the territory of Omsk and rural areas of the Omsk region. For this purpose, the institution has the necessary licenses, certificates and accreditation. In March 2017, the Inspection Center was accredited on the basis of the Omsk Reference Center. In December 2017, the inspection control procedure of the Testing Center in the field of international accreditation by the Association of Analytical Centers 'Analytics' was successfully passed. The Center for Certification of the Omsk Reference Center successfully passed the procedure of confirming competence with the expansion of the accreditation sphere in the Federal Service for Accreditation (vegetable oils, juice products, by-products of grain processing). The Seed and Plant Protection Department successfully passed the procedure of confirming competence in the system of 'Semstandart', thereby renewing the certificate of the Center for Seed and Planting Seed Certification.

 

In 2017, the institution received about 34 thousand samples, conducted more than 90 thousand studies, identified over 14 thousand positive results. Annually, the Omsk Reference Center together with the Territorial Office draw up a coordination plan for joint activities and sign a tripartite agreement on the performance of the state task. The total volume of the state task in 2017 amounted to 13,718 studies, including food monitoring in the volume of 1,706 studies and risks of 354 studies. The state task is completely fulfilled.

 

In accordance with the schedule of studies for 2017, 23 people have raised their qualifications in various educational institutions. Employees of the Test Center participated in interlaboratory comparative testing (ICI) for domestic providers (Central Scientific and Methodological Veterinary Laboratory, Grain Quality Assessment Center, All-Russia Plant Quarantine Center, European Training and Consulting Center) for a year. The results are positive.

 

In 2017, the Omsk Reference Center purchased modern equipment for carrying out immuno-enzyme analysis and for determining soil fertility indicators. All used measuring instruments have been calibrated in accordance with the schedule for 2017, the testing equipment of the center is timely certified. In 2017, in accordance with the approved schedule, internal audits of the quality management system were conducted. The internal audit schedule is 100% complete. Corrective actions were taken in a timely manner on the identified non-conformities.

 

Omsk Reference Center actively interacts with mass media for the purpose of information coverage of activities. The official website of the Center regularly covers information on all areas of activity, current news, advice and recommendations to the population in the field of food and biological safety. Significant events are highlighted at press conferences. Considerable attention is paid to interaction with the press and TV channels broadcasting on the territory of the service area.

 

In 2018, it is planned to confirm competence and expand the scope of accreditation of the Test Center for determining the presence of milk powder in dairy products, dyes and preservatives in food, GMOs in animal and vegetable products, DNA ruminants, varietal qualities of seeds by electrophoresis.
