Starch found in sausage

In December, the Laboratory of quality and safety of products of animal and vegetable origin, feed and environmental objects of the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor (member of Omsky Biocluster) received 364 samples, in which 2436 tests were conducted. As a result, experts identified 12 samples with violations of regulatory documentation.

Content of the main substance was underestimated in one sample of edible salt. Two samples of sausages contained starch. One butter sample contained sterols, and another two samples contained a preservative. Two samples of milk have not been tested for acid composition. Phytosterols are found in one sample of cheese. Three other samples of cheese did not meet the standards in terms of mass fat fraction.
