Results of seed inspection in 2019

For 2019, the Seed Production and Plant Protection Department of the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor (Omsky Biocluster member) analyzed 11,402 samples from 3,874 seed lots with a total weight of 3,768 tons, collected in 465 farms of the Omsk region.

 

10 636 samples from 3 108 lots with a total weight of 2 875 tons were analyzed for sowing quality of seeds. Of these, 3,000 studies were conducted on state assignment with 751 samples from 361 batches with a total weight of 273 tons. 248 samples from 111 batches weighing 97 tons did not meet the requirements of the standards. In total, according to the results of tests on the sowing quality of seeds, 1,350 samples out of 848 batches were recognized as low-quality for various indicators. The quality of the tested seeds of the 2019 crop does not meet the requirements of the standard mainly due to weediness, but some batches showed low germination.
