The Laboratory of Quarantine Phytosanitary Examinations and Surveys of the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor (Omsky Biocluster member) in the first half of 2019 analyzed more than 15,000 samples, of which 1,814 samples were included in the state assignment.
Experts conducted about 32,500 examinations. Head of Laboratory Artem Velegurov:
"Phytosanitary examination have revealed ten kinds of quarantine facilities in 135 cases: Western Flower Thrips, San Jose scale, Oriental Fruit Moth, thin-stem dodder, ragweed, Russian knapweed, Potato cyst nematode, Black spruce long-horn beetle, Small black spruce longhorn beetle, Big black spruce longhorn beetle".
The laboratory of quarantine phytosanitary examinations and surveys of the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor provides a range of plant quarantine services to residents and companies in the event of import of regulated products or export of imported and domestic products outside the Omsk region, as well as in the cultivation, production and sale of plant products. Specialists carry out surveys of fields, forest plantations, warehouses, grain elevators in order to identify quarantine objects, as well as bills from storage facilities, soil, insect samples from pheromone traps and food baits, etc.
